Plant Parent (“the App”) is developed by Kozo Technology. This policy explains what data the App stores, what data third-party services receive, and the choices you have.

None of this data is sent to our servers; we don’t run any. It stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
The App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address (used for approximate location), device and operating-system information, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. When you identify a plant with the camera or a gallery photo, that photo is sent to the Pl@ntNet API (https://plantnet.org) to identify the species. No name, account or other personal information is sent with it.
When you search for a plant or load its care guide, the plant name you typed is sent to the Perenual, Trefle or iNaturalist plant databases. No personal information is included in these requests.
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, which processes a device registration token to deliver notifications. No personal data is included in notification payloads. Care reminders are scheduled on your device.
European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland: on first launch the App asks for your consent through Google’s certified consent management platform. Personalised ads are shown only if you consent; otherwise you may see limited, non-personalised ads.
United States: if you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
Change your choice at any time: open the App’s Settings → Privacy options.

Gallery photos are chosen with the system file picker, so the App doesn’t need access to your whole photo library.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
